Ministries at St. John’s

Love God. Love Neighbors. Love Yourself.

Our motto at St. John’s is grounded in Matthew 22:36-40:

“Teacher, which commandment in the law is the greatest?” He said to him, “‘You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind.’ This is the greatest and first commandment. And a second is like it: ‘You shall love your neighbor as yourself.’ On these two commandments hang all the Law and the Prophets.”

Therefore, we at St. John’s endeavor to Love God. Love Our Neighbors. And, Love Ourselves.

We do this in a variety of ways. From being active participants in worship, to attending Sunday School or other formation opportunities, or from having difficult conversations to taking care of God’s creation. We are aware that the work we do inside these walls and, most importantly, outside of our walls, helps us to live into Jesus’ Greatest Commandments to love God and our neighbors. This is the work which builds the kingdom of God and reconciles all people to God.

We hope that you might find a ministry that interests you in each of these areas.
