Resources & Assistance
Parish Financial Assistance
At St. John’s, we believe deeply in Jesus’ call to “love our neighbors as ourselves.” As part of that commitment, we strive to provide helpful support to our community—especially to those experiencing financial hardship or an unexpected crisis.
While we would love to meet every need brought to our door, our resources are limited. At this time, we are able to offer up to $50 in assistance once every six months. This support most often takes the form of contributing to rent, adding funds to a utility account, or helping cover the cost of obtaining important documents such as a state ID or driver’s license.
To ensure funds are used effectively and securely, assistance is provided directly to a business or service provider—typically through online payment or a check made payable to the organization.
To request assistance, simply visit the church office during our regular hours (Monday–Thursday, 8:00 AM–12:00 PM and 1:00 PM–4:30 PM). Please bring any documents related to your need—such as a lease, a utility bill, or an account statement—so we can best support you.
When you arrive, a member of the clergy will meet with you, complete a brief intake form, and offer assistance in whatever ways we are able. You will also receive our Community Resource guide, which includes additional organizations and services that may be helpful.
