Young Adults in the Church
YAC: Young Adults in the Church (11th and 12th graders)
YAC is the final phase in the Journey to Adulthood program. These older youth are encouraged to take on more adult responsibilities, both in the church and in their community. During their time in YAC, the young people will select a personal ministry (joining the choir, leading Children's Church, serving as the youth representative on the vestry, etc.) within the church, and they’ll participate in a mission trip.
The class will meet each Sunday morning in their classroom downstairs. A typical class will consist of an opening prayer, scripture study, a lesson and discussion on a sermon or essay chosen by the leaders, snacks, and a closing prayer.
