Journey to Adulthood
J2A: Journey to Adulthood (9th and 10th graders)
J2A is the middle phase (two years) of the six-year Journey to Adulthood program. In many ways J2A is the heart of this program. Throughout these two years, the young people will continue to develop their skills of listening, cooperating, learning, and leading. They focus on Scripture reading, prayer, and community-building. They spend time in and out of the classroom getting to know and trust one another and their leaders, exploring connections between their lives and their faith, and assuming more and more adult responsibilities. The young people are invited to make a holy pilgrimage at the end of the two years as a way of deepening their faith.
Each Sunday the class will include scripture reading, a lesson, discussion, snacks, and prayer. Regular attendance at Sunday School and active participation in extracurricular activities and fundraisers are expected.
